Holistic BODYWORK

for Horses and Dogs

Where Bodywork, Energy & Intuition Come Together

to Support Your Animal

Our animals ask so much of their bodies—whether they're competing, training, traveling, aging, recovering, or simply navigating the everyday stresses of life.

Sometimes we notice a specific change: stiffness, muscular tension, soreness, anxiety, changes in movement, or a feeling that something just isn't quite right.

Other times, bodywork becomes part of a proactive wellness routine—supporting mobility, relaxation, recovery, and overall well-being before tension has a chance to build.

And sometimes, there's no particular reason at all.

They simply deserve some extra love, attention, and TLC.

My Signature Holistic Bodywork sessions bring together multiple complementary modalities, intuitively adapted to your animal and what they need that day.

Gentle. Intuitive. Individualized.

Equine bodywork to help release tension

“After just one session, my horse felt lighter, calmer, and more at ease in his body. The shift was undeniable—not only physically, but emotionally. This work is truly something special.”

– Janet C., Delray, Florida, USA.

When Might Your Animal Benefit From Bodywork?

Bodywork can be a beautiful addition to your animal's wellness routine—not only when something feels wrong, but as part of proactive, ongoing care.

You may consider a session:

  • Before or After a Show or Event

Help your horse prepare physically and mentally before competition, or support relaxation and recovery afterward.

  • During Training & Intensive Work

Regular bodywork can help horses and dogs who are exercising frequently or working at higher levels manage muscular tension and physical demands.

  • After Travel or Relocation

A long trailer ride, a move, or a new environment can be physically and emotionally taxing. Bodywork can offer a peaceful opportunity to settle, release tension, and reconnect with a sense of ease.

  • For Nervous, Tense or Sensitive Animals

Some animals carry stress in their bodies. Bodywork can help create a quiet space for them to soften, relax, and let go.

  • For Older Animals

Gentle bodywork may support mobility, comfort, relaxation, and quality of life as animals move through their senior years.

  • During Recovery & Rehabilitation

Bodywork can be a complementary wellness modality for animals recovering from physical strain, injury, or surgery, alongside appropriate veterinary care.

  • When You Simply Want to Give Them Some TLC

Sometimes there doesn't need to be a problem.

Maybe you're going away and want your animal to receive some extra love and attention.

Maybe they've worked hard and deserve to be pampered.

Or maybe you simply want to give them an opportunity to feel really, really good.

What Does a Session Feel Like?

This is one of my favorite parts.

Once the session begins, many animals become noticeably quieter and more relaxed.

You may see a horse lower their head and neck, soften through their body, lick and chew, yawn, sigh, or simply become very still.

Dogs may settle into a deep relaxation, stretch, sigh, become sleepy, or simply enjoy the experience in their own way.

These subtle signs can be beautiful reminders that an animal has found a moment of peace.

There is no "right" way for an animal to experience a session.

I allow each animal to guide the experience according to their comfort and willingness to participate.

A Deeply Integrative Approach…

There is no single technique that is right for every animal.

That's why my Signature Bodywork sessions draw from multiple modalities, allowing me to intuitively adapt the session according to what your animal is showing me and what their body appears to need.

  • Masterson Method® Techniques
Gentle, interactive bodywork that works with your animal to release deep muscular and fascial tension.

  • Myofascial Release
Supports the unwinding of connective tissue restrictions, improving mobility, comfort, and fluid movement.

  • BEMER PEMF Therapy
Enhances microcirculation, helping to reduce inflammation, ease pain, and support cellular repair and recovery.

  • Reiki Energy Healing
Encourages relaxation, clears energetic stagnation, and supports the body’s natural healing processes.

  • The Trust Technique®
Creates a quiet, mindful space where your animal can feel safe, allowing deeper release, connection, and relaxation.

The result isn't a predetermined protocol.

It is a personalized session created around your animal, their body, their energy, and what they need that day.

Who Is This Holistic Bodywork For?

This work may be especially supportive for animals who are:

  • Carrying muscular tension or stiffness

  • Recovering from physical exertion

  • Participating in training, competition, or performance work

  • Sensitive, nervous, or easily overstimulated

  • Adjusting to travel, relocation, or environmental changes

  • Experiencing age-related changes in mobility

  • Recovering from physical strain or rehabilitation

  • Simply in need of relaxation, connection, and some extra TLC

And sometimes, you don't need to know exactly what's wrong.

You may simply sense that your animal is not quite themselves.

That's enough reason to explore whether bodywork may be supportive.

PEMF Bemer and Reiki Energy Healing help my horse recover

“My horse works really hard at the roping events and his lower back gets very sore. After the PEMF therapy (and whatever else Veronica does that I really don’t know much about), I noticed a marked improvement. I now have her work on him often to help maintain and get him back to work sooner.”

– Donnie M., Loxahatchee, Florida, USA

The Transformation Experience

Before a session, many animals arrive holding more than what meets the eye.

You may notice subtle—or not so subtle—signs:

  • Tension through the body or resistance to touch

  • Changes in movement, stiffness, or discomfort

  • Anxiety, sensitivity, or behavioral shifts

  • A sense that something feels “off,” even if you can’t quite name it

These are often expressions of stored physical strain, emotional stress, or patterns the body hasn’t yet released.

What Begins to Shift…

As your animal moves through this work, a quiet transformation often unfolds.

The body begins to soften.
Breathing deepens.
The nervous system settles.

You may observe:

  • Releases such as licking, yawning, sighing, or stretching

  • Improved movement, fluidity, and comfort

  • A calmer, more grounded presence

  • A return to their natural personality and ease

Each release is your animal’s way of letting go—safely, gently, and in their own time.

After the Session…

Following a session, many animals appear:

  • More relaxed and at peace

  • More comfortable in their body

  • More connected and responsive

  • Lighter—both physically and emotionally

For some, the shift is immediate.
For others, it continues to unfold over the hours and days that follow.

Every animal releases differently. Every session unfolds differently.

A Deeper Kind of Bodywork

For me, bodywork isn't simply about working on muscles.

It's about listening to the whole animal.

I pay attention to their body language, their breathing, their responses, their energy, and the subtle ways they communicate throughout the session.

I don't force a release.

I create the conditions for the animal to feel safe enough to let go.

And when they soften, release, breathe more deeply, and return to a greater sense of ease in their body, it is one of the most rewarding parts of this work.

The goal isn't to change your animal.

It's to help them reconnect with the comfort, freedom, and balance that already belong to them.

Every Animal Has Their Own Story

Your animal's body tells a story—in the way they move, breathe, carry tension, relax, and respond to the world around them.

Sometimes bodywork is about supporting recovery or mobility. Sometimes it's about helping them settle and release. And sometimes it's simply about giving them a little extra love and attention.

Whatever brings you here, you don't have to figure it out alone.

Not Sure If Bodywork Is Right for Your Animal?

You don't have to know exactly what your animal needs before reaching out.

If you're wondering whether bodywork, Reiki, PEMF, nutrition, or another Barefoot Mama service may be the most supportive place to begin, let's talk.

During a complimentary 15-minute Wellness Discovery Call, you can tell me a little about your animal, what you're noticing, and what you'd love to support.

Together, we'll explore the best next step.
